Today's Devotion is "The Monday After Easter Sunday" (A Wrap-up of our series 40 Days of Easter Truth)
Our Easter Focus Passage today is: Matthew 28:16-20
16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.
17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Over the past 40 days, we have gone through select passages of Scripture in both the Old and New Testaments to look further at the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and what that means for us today. We have been encouraged, humbled, inspired, sobered, and filled with joy at the prophecies and events that happened to make up what we call the Easter story. The wonderful thing about Easter and the days leading up to it is that it is a story that lives on for ages because Jesus Christ is alive and lives in the hearts of those who believe. The day of Easter may be over but the victory from Christ's resurrection should be reflected in our lives every day.
