Today's Devotion is "When Jesus Was Bullied" (Day 24 in our series 40 Days of Easter Truth)
Our Easter Focus Passage today is: Psalm 69:4–12
4 Those who hate me without reason outnumber the hairs of my head; many are my enemies without cause, those who seek to destroy me. I am forced to restore what I did not steal.
5 You, God, know my folly; my guilt is not hidden from you.
6 Lord, the Lord Almighty, may those who hope in you not be disgraced because of me; God of Israel, may those who seek you not be put to shame because of me.
Now, here's today's Easter Truth:
Okay, so the title "When Jesus Was Bullied" might be a bit shocking. What we define as bullying today is what Jesus went through many thousands of years ago. David foreshadows the ministry of Christ's experiences in this passage. Far from the sweet Baby who came to earth wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger or from the high and mighty King who sits on the right hand of God the Father and is one day coming back to gather His children home to be with Him, is a Jesus who endured ridicule, mocking, hatred, and betrayal.
