Today's Devotion is "When It's All Over" (Day 23 in our series 40 Days of Easter Truth)
Our Easter Focus Passage today is: Job 19:21-29
25 I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth.
26 And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God;
27 I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!
Now, here's today's Easter Truth:
Many of us can understand and relate to the story of Job. He was a good man who had been blessed by God with many riches. He had a large and loving family, status and position in his country, numerous property and animals that spoke to his wealth and prosperity. On top of that, he lived righteously, followed God, and abided in God's grace. Soon, however, his entire life took a drastic turn for the worst. He is beset with tragedy and disaster. His wealth, family, money, and health are taken away from him in a short space of time. All the prestige and privilege that came because of his Godly lifestyle vanished. And he was left alone, no family and only three friends.
